... Have I mentioned how much I hate drawing women? 8D

Tomorrow, 22nd Sept, is Alex and Bill's anniversary (together at least, Al came about at the beginning of the month), aka when myself and InfamousAficionado started a completely spontaneous pirate RP to pass the time. Eight years ago ;D It's also known as 'Sex Pirates Day', coined by a friend who was convinced it was nothing more than years worth of erotica between these two xD _{... it's no Fifty Shades, but I won't deny it isn't raunchy ;D} .

I'd never done an RP before, and done very little writing, but it's what got me into it. And it's also what directed me towards my degrees - Alex is highly ship knowledgeable, it's one of the few things he does know about, and so there was a lot of research involved. And so I wound up doing a degree in maritime archaeology (my undergrad dissertation/thesis was on pirates ;D), learning all about ships, and then a masters after it in the same discipline ;D This RP has had a hell of a lot of an impact on my life. Like, the whole direction of it xD

Our first lines:
Bill stumped around the deck muttering to herself and glaring at the map in her hand. Alex saw her coming and put on a smile on to greet her.

And as of when we last wrote:

"You don't like him because he's like you."
 "Maybe."

... I approve of our development haha. Fyi, they're talking about their eldest son who Alex doesn't get along with.


In that time, Alex and Bill haven't changed all that much to be fair, Alex is still the nicer of the two, still loves his hair, is still a soppy little puppy, while Bill is still a hard bitch who is the one in control xD This picture will be an illustration of the very rare moment in time where they're actually happy with each other and not fighting ahahah >.> They love each other really. Promise.


And also, in that time I'd like to think my art has improved. Check out their first anniversary drawing:



Daaamn guuurl, that is some fine hair ;D 


These two and their RP mean the world to me for all it's done in my life. I never saw it lasting more than a year, let alone eight. I'd like to think that it'll last a lot longer too C:
