Foxy little Foxwit ;D And I mean foxy in the cunning/shrewd/devious/tricky kind of way xD

Realised I hadn't drawn Dekker 'realistically' for a while... If at all to this level. So had to recitify that since I've been doing it with all my guys of late. 

He's a little tricky to get to match how I draw him cartoon-ily, because he suits that style so well and that's all I ever see him in xD I also realise that in the previous 'realistic' ones I'd made him look far too old and mature, and thanks to the lazy style of mine, it's de-aged him quite nicely. He's supposed to be 24-ish, but I see him as quite child-like in the face still, if not because it matches his personality but he is a halfling C:

I also realised that in the middle of drawing this that I'd used this angle ref before... OH WELL. If people are curious it was a Zeke image >.>

Totally miss playing with Dekker >.> He's my little Irish baby of a character and I wish I had more use for him and his smudgy eye-liner face. Maybe I can convince my friends to give 5th ed a go and transfer him into that for comparison. Because I'd been drawing this over a few days - I had no more than a few hours spare a day... - I wound up dreaming about playing badminton (which I do once a week) with him. I don't even know.


Edit: Also holy crap, I've been on dA for eight years now. Whaaaaat. Do I make an anniversary speech? Haha xD dA is really the only reason I got into drawing in the first place, I can't really remember why I joined though. I suppose a few friends did and we watched each other, then I actually started to draw properly spurred on by positive comments from strangers on the site and inspiration from other artists (namely DolphyDolphiana, who primarily got me into drawing peoplez/Treasure Planet/Disney with her art). And when I realised I could illustrate my characters, though at that time it was mainly just Alex, I suppose I actually focused on improving. My Transformers guys were when I really kicked off in 2009 though, when I first took the leap and drew faces - Jak was the first guy I drew that I was ever proud of - I can't actually remember which dA artist who's style influenced me most, but I remember looking through her gallery ~a lot~. And then more characters and more chances to draw. And now I draw butts like Dekker to pass the time ;D
