Ahahahaha nice to see I still can't draw young children. It's not a baby, it's not a young child, it's just a... blob. Ahahahahaha haaa ;____;

This is smaller than the other two I've done because I just cannot see Dekker beyond where he is now xD Either because he's going to die young, or because I can't predict his future enough (though my prediction is pretty much 'gonna die soon'). With Isaac and Gray I have an idea of what I can do with them, but what happens to Dekker is completely out of my hands...!

And this is also very quick and very all over the place, "loose" as they say, mainly because I'm recovering from a migraine (eurrgh, that's two in a week ;_; ), and while I was trying to get rid of it I realised that today is supposed to be Dekker's birthday. Or at least as close as it can be on our calendar, since it's the 24th day of Summer for him (or our 144th day of the year, aka today). This isn't supposed to be anything special, just a little bit of fun doodling on my part C:

A brief overview of the images ~

Young child - Ewewewewew. I mean. Dekker was, and still is, the runt of his family - forever the smallest. The youngest in the family behind two sisters (one two years older, the other five), he was born into a farming family that focused on growing vegetables over livestock. Dekker was pretty mollycoddled as the only son, and because he was a relatively cute little guy who liked to laugh and get involved in anything his parents did.

Child - He helped around the farm, did odd bits and pieces here and there, but grew increasingly enamoured by the stories his father would tell about his youth - before his settled down with his wife, Dekker's father (who has no name >.>) travelled around, got into trouble, and generally progressed through the typical 'wanderlust' that halflings progress through in their younger years before growing out of it to settle down. Dekker, however, always believed that when it came to him, he'd never lose the desire to travel, spurred on by his father's tales.

Young teen - Dekker starts to become a pain in the backside. He starts acting on his father's stories, trying to make adventures of his own in the relatively small and sleepy town. He develops a liking for collecting things that quickly progresses to a mild kleptomania, and he begins to get serious kicks out of taking things from his neighbours, which he'd then just store in the floorboards of his room. If his parents know anything about this habit, they choose to hold their tongue, even with the town beginning to grow irate that things were going missing - albeit it usually small things like silver cutlery or a jug, nothing too big.

Late teen - Halfling adulthood is around twenty or so, but Dekker is hit hard a few years before with wanderlust and he jumps at the chance to leave home. He quite literally ups and leaves without even telling his parents, and he's not had any contact with them since and he's never felt the need to look back. But he quickly finds that the real world isn't quite as awesome as he thought it would be and what he could get away with in his hometown, he can't anywhere else. He gets into trouble on a regular basis, finding himself chucked into jails and caught in tight spots, from which he has little option than to learn how to get out of. He wants to make something more of his stealing and escaping, but he only just scrapes by and has more than enough close shaves that he gets miserable from time to time. He soon realises that if he wants to truly test himself and adventure to the extreme, he needs to work with other people.

Young adult - Dekker's just a few days off 24 in our campaign, so he's around this age when he joins the Black Griffins mercenary group. He's far from a team player, but he knows that if he wants to see more of the world, try his mettle against more traps and find himself picking up more than just a few coins from pockets, he needs the others to help him. He still gets himself into trouble, but he enjoys himself a lot more, because even if the others don't get along with him, he personally thinks they get along just fine.


He honestly doesn't change that much visually, because when you've got hair like his that resembles a hedgehog no matter what, it's pretty hard to do anything else with, and he's still young-ish xD


Dekker Foxwit is my halfling rogue, but anyone is welcome to claim 'young child' Dekker because, ew >.>
